Hi, I’m Huw. I am a Christian, Father, Husband. Professionally I have worked in Machine Learning & Data for 8 years. In my spare time I build things using code, garden and enjoy the outdoors.

Christian

My faith is a fundamental part of who I am. I became a Christian at 11 and it has influenced every aspect of my life since. I’ll add a bit more here about what it means to be Christian another time. The tradition I am part of is Reformed Baptist(ish).

Father & Husband

I’ve been married to my wife for close to 7 years and have two wonderful children. My life is about building a life for my family, the work I do is carefully chosen to support not inhibit that.

Professionally

I am currently at Admiral Money as their MLOps Lead but also investigating GenAI use cases.

Building

In my spare time I am building RecipeHack. An app to help people adapt recipes to fit their lifestyle.

Garden

I’ve grown vegetables for the last two years with varying degrees of success. This is the start of my long-term goal to have a homestead.

Outdoors

I love the outdoors. Walking, hiking, camping and learning about nature are my favourite things to do. It’s probably no surprise considering my job requires me to look at a screen for 8 hours a day. In an ideal world I would work an outdoor job but then I would probably yearn for the indoors when the weather is bad.
